Night Report

Good news is that Ian's vitals are good. During the night he had a couple of hellucinations which we had to talk him down from. We are hoping it is because of all the drugs he has been on but time will tell. His eyes are more aware, his speech is better and louder. He is expressing himself well, although he repeats himself at times. My sister was making faces at him and he stuck his tongue out at her. We hope to have some of the main IVs removed so he can get out of bed. Keep the prayers coming!

  3. Sounding so positive. Meds can linger for some time so it seems reasonable it could still be impacting his communications. Still praying for you all.

  8. Awesome news! You definitely have an angel named Jahan watching over you – thanks for telling us that uplifting event. Puran, your hope and your ability to share this with all of us is truly inspirational. I do not know you or Ian very well, but he’s a friend of Matthew’s. As parents, we never want anything to happen to our kid’s friends or their families. We’ll keep praying for a speedy recovery. Let us know when Ian’s ready to have those sugar cookies and we will deliver them freshly baked to the hospital or home. Take care.

  9. Puran,
The news just keeps getting better! We are beyond amazement in how things have progressed this week. Those of us moms out here would all agree I'm sure, there is no stronger desire than a mother's will to stay by her child's side as you have done! But glad to hear you are finally getting some well needed rest. We are looking so forward to seeing Ian (Jordan especially) - when he is ready. Let us know if we can help with Ian's recovery process in anyway.

  11. Puran - the hallucinations are definately the drugs and he is probably still freezing his butt off (not sure if I could say "ass") :)

Have faith and know you are wrapped in love by a ton of people who are with all of you in spirit.

  15. Ian is a friend of my younger sister Emily. I've been praying for Ian and your family. God only puts forth trials and tribulations to those who are strong enough to handle them. Stay strong in him!
