Night Duty

Dad has his first night duty and I get to sleep in my own bed since Sunday night! I am excited but hate to be away from Ian. It just made sense because now that Ian is getting up to go to the bathroom Dad can help him more than I can - never realized how big he got! After I picked up Tessa from school I realized that I did not put on my prayer scarf today, so I got it on immediately and I swear things starting going better. By dinner time Ian was doing so much better feeding himself, not perfect but progress. Even though the whole Facebook experience upset him - maybe a little too much for now - he wanted to know everything and as hard as that was it is good to know he has emotions and wants to understand what happened to him. The big question is will he remember it all tomorrow?
I have to tell you all, I am overwhelmed by all the prayers, notes, emails, gifts, flowers and texts. THANK YOU and please keep praying for Ian.

  2. Hey guys, I guess it makes sense that a 16yr old would be sensitive to his image in the world, I know I was. I would take this as an extremely good sign of normalcy! God bless for a peaceful evening. Love, aunty k

  3. Puran-

I have had so many thoughts throughout this week that I wanted to share with you. I have settled on needing to tell you... Your daughter is amazing! I know that the focus needs to be on Ian and praying for his full recovery but Tessa was a trooper this week doing her best to stay the course in her normal routine in the middle of crisis. After some thought this afternoon I believe mid-winter break is hitting at just the right time for Tessa. God is truly blessing your entire family.
I anxiously awaited hearing from Mr. Went after his visit last night. I was encouraged by the conversation I had with him this morning. I can't really share anything that hasn't been posted in this blog by family and friends but just know that the Robinson family and the entire AMS school community are behind you.

Over the past several weeks I have been focused on some scripture from the book of Romans. I hope it brings continued trust for you and your family...

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him...
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If GOD is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all - how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
    Romans 28,31-32

May God's grace remain the foundation of your strength...

  4. I can only imagine how overwhelming this whole experience is for all of you. So much has happened in such a short period of time. Puran I am so glad you are getting some rest. I pray God's peace was yours last night and you were able to sleep. Thank you for keeping us posted on how Ian is doing. I know that can't be easy! We love you and we will not cease to pray. Love, Anne

    A verse to cling to:

"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth, by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you"
    Jeremiah 32:17

Here's a prayer that I woke up saying this morning, and I share it with you to help ease your days.. Love Big Dad

We hope and pray that today brings continued progress and healing. How truly amazing the progress has been in such a short time (although we are pretty sure it has seemed an eternity for you). It is inspiring that the love and devotion of you guys, the outpouring of love, support and prayer from so many family and friends, the will and strength of Ian, and the love and grace of God are all working together and working overtime for Ian. Please tell Ian that we are praying an thinking of him!
    Love,
